Dr. Fu earned his doctor’s degree in University of Miami in 1990. He was a post-doctoral fellowship in National Jewish Center for Immunology and Respiratory Medicine in 1991~1993. He received NIH Clinical Investigator Award and Howard Hughes Medical Institute Fellowship for Physician Scientist. Now he is Professor of Department of Pathology and Immunology in University of Chicago. He is also an adjunct professor at Chinese Academy of Sciences. The basic research in his laboratory is focused on understanding the biological consequences arising from the interaction between core molecules of the TNF superfamily, lymphotoxin (LT or TNFSF1) and LIGHT (TNFSF14), on lymphocytes, and their receptor, LT?R, on stromal cells.
