  2013年5月至今,在中科院生物物理所生物大分子国家重点实验室担任PI研究员、中科院生物大分子科教融合卓越中心特聘研究员。

  1982年毕业于湖北大学生物系,1985年在中科院武汉病毒所获硕士学位(微生物学专业),1995年在中科院微生物所获博士学位(在职,生物化学专业),2015年获加拿大Alberta大学荣誉科学博士学位。

  1993年在中科院武汉病毒所晋升研究员。1992年起历任中科院武汉病毒所、中科院武汉分院和国家科学技术部基础研究司领导职务。曾先后在加拿大、美国和英国相关学术机构从事合作研究。

  主要学术兼职:中国生物工程学会副理事长,亚洲生物技术协会(AFOB)纳米生物技术/生物传感/生物芯片分会共同会长,英国皇家化学会会士,世界生物传感学术大会常设组委会中国代表;《生物工程学报》任执行主编,Biosensors & Bioelectronics、Biocatalysis & Biotransformation、《中国科学-生命科学》、《科学通报》、《中科院院刊》、AdvancedBiosystems、《生物产业技术》等编委或顾问;科技部生物技术中心专家委员会副主任委员,国家973计划专家顾问组副组长,亚太经合组织(APEC)首席科学顾问(CSAE)会议中国代表。曾担任中国微生物学会副理事长、中国生物物理学会副理事长和伦敦纳米中心顾问小组成员。

  曾获中科院首届青年科学家奖(1989)、中科院有突出贡献中青年专家(1994)、湖北省自然科学一等奖(2015)等荣誉。

  发表科学论文240余篇(其中SCI收录200余篇),生物传感器和生物芯片相关专著3部。

  主要研究方向:生物传感、纳米生物学和分析病原微生物学

  主要工作和进展:

  1) 纳米生物学:利用天然生物大分子的特异性识别功能和自组装性能,通过理性设计,构建一维、二维和三维以及多层级的生物纳米载荷体系,构建高灵敏度生物传感系统和新型生物载药体系。目前的研究重点是发展超分辨方法,对细胞表面重要生物大分子的分布定位及丰度进行可视化精准表征。

  2) 分子识别与生物传感:利用生物元件的特异性识别原理,结合物理和化学手段,建立了系列生物传感模式,包括微生物细胞电极、多功能酶电极、基因光学传感、免疫表面声波传感、结核分枝杆菌全蛋白组芯片等。发表专著《生物传感器》(1991,2005)。目前的研究重点是穿戴式生化指标酶电极和快速耐药检测微生物电极等。

  3) 分子生物传感与细胞分子影像:发展红色、远红和近红外荧光蛋白分子传感系统(BiFC,TriFC等)和“彩色病毒”,实现活细胞内和活体内分子相互作用的可视化。目前的研究重点是病原体与宿主细胞的相互作用可视化、单拷贝基因示踪、活细胞及亚细胞结构对外源物质和微环境的响应(细胞传感器)等。
